 Job Summary:

The Career Counselor provides professional guidance and support to individuals seeking career advice, academic direction, or job placement assistance.

The role involves helping clients assess their interests, skills, and values to make informed career decisions and develop action plans for achieving their goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to assess clients’ career interests, skills, and goals.
  • Administer and interpret career assessment tools.
  • Assist students or clients with career exploration, course selection, and goal setting.
  • Guide clients in resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Organize and facilitate career workshops, job fairs, and employer networking events.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor market trends, employment opportunities, and educational pathways.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, educational institutions, and training providers.
  • Track and report client progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Support the development and implementation of career development programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certification in Career Counseling (e.g., NCDA, GCDF, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Proven experience (2–5 years) in career counseling, academic advising, or recruitment.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with psychometric assessment tools and career guidance software.

Must Have
