Job Overview
GTPL Tech Infra LLP is looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide end-user technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, endpoint management, and IT support best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 desktop support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11 operating systems, desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to printers, email, applications, and system performance.
- Manage user accounts, system configurations, and endpoint devices.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, and Wi-Fi.
- Support Microsoft Intune and other endpoint management solutions for device configuration and compliance.
- Perform software installations, updates, patches, and system upgrades.
- Monitor endpoint security and assist in implementing backup and recovery procedures.
- Provide basic support for virtualization environments such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and maintain IT support records.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors for issue escalation and resolution.
- Ensure timely resolution of support tickets while maintaining high service standards.
Required Skills
- 4–6 years of experience in Desktop Support or IT Infrastructure Support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, and Wi-Fi networking.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management tools.
- Knowledge of endpoint security, antivirus solutions, and backup technologies.
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and remote support tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA, Modern Desktop Administrator, Azure, etc.) will be an added advantage.
