Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing, administering, and supporting SAP landscapes. The candidate should have strong expertise in SAP system administration, performance tuning, upgrades, and system monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager)
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Manage SAP transports, client administration, and user administration
- Handle SAP kernel upgrades, support packs, and enhancement packs
- Perform SAP system refreshes, copies, and client copies
- Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery activities
- Coordinate with functional, ABAP, and infrastructure teams
- Ensure system security, roles, authorizations, and compliance
- Support OS/DB-level activities (Oracle/HANA/DB2/SQL Server as applicable)
- Work on SAP HANA administration (if applicable)
- Participate in on-call and production support activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA
- Experience with SAP HANA administration is preferred
- Hands-on experience with SAP system upgrades and migrations
- Good understanding of OS (Linux/Unix/Windows)
- Knowledge of SAP security concepts and role management
- Experience with Solution Manager is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred / Nice to Have
- SAP BASIS or SAP HANA certification
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Exposure to SAP ChaRM, SLT, or System Monitoring tools
